Postby Doug » Fri May 11, 2012 7:14 am

Congratulations to Josh Coon, for winning this year's Klaus Biemann medal to be presented at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry's annual meeting in Vancouver this month. The medal recognizes "significant achievement in basic or applied mass spectrometry made by an individual early in his or her career". Past recipients include Matthias Mann, Reudi Aebersold, and John Yates. Josh is best known for developing electron transfer dissociation, instrument modifications, and novel data acquisition techniques(1,2).

We will be interviewing this year's Biemann medal recipient, Josh Coon, at ASMS this year. You still have a few days to submit questions for him.
