Proteomic methods detects proteins that interact with cholesterol

Postby Doug » Mon Feb 11, 2013 9:21 am

A new paper in Nature methods from Benjamin Cravatt's lab describes a method to detect metabolite-protein interactions. They basically use the metabolite (in this case sterols) as a a bait to pull down interacting proteins which are detected by mass spectrometry.
