The Department of Structural Pathology, Institute of Nephrology, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata University, Japan is looking for enthusiastic, highly-motivated, science-driven and experienced postdoctoral fellows (3 vaccinates) in proteomics and bioinformatics to join our team immediately .


Your task ---------------------------

The research focus of the Tadashi Yamamoto's laboratory includes mechanisms of kidney disease regulation and biomarker discovery using cutting edge proteomics. We are also interested in podocyte functionality under different disease conditions and other side projects related to mass spec developments.the Tab employs multidisciplinary approaches in biochemistry, functional genomics as well as cell biology and structural biology.

General requirements------------------

Applicants should hold a Ph.D degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in proteomics field or bioinformatics (for the bioinformatics post doc job)

For Proteomics post docs, experience in bioanalytical mass spectrometry, sample workup, experience with LC/MS employing nanoLC and nanospray sources are desired
For bioinformatitions, Comfortable working in both Unix and Windows/Macintosh environments is a must. A working knowledge and demonstrated competence of standard computer languages such as Perl, SQL and HTML is required.


Hiring contract duration (3-5 years) renewed annually
