HPLC question

Postby Randall » Thu Dec 20, 2012 6:48 am

A colleague of mine has just suggested to me the possiblity that analytes (peptides or otherwise) can bind to one another rather than to the column when loaded i.e. peptide binds to another peptide which is bound to the column. Is this possible? I'd have guessed that the entropic cost of a peptide complexing with another peptide rather than associating with the column would be too great, but I'm really not sure.
