MaxQuant adds splice variant detection

At ASMS 2012, Jurgen Cox just gave an excellent presentation on a new feature of MaxQuant called Dr. Watson to detect and display splice variants. It looked very advanced. He showed data comparing tissues in Drosophila which detected 42 differentially expressed splice variants. The results correlated well with splice variants detected by RNA seq. MaxQuant has quickly become one of the most complete software suites for proteomic data analysis. I haven't had a chance to use MaxQuant yet but I would love to give it a try.

I am looking forward to a new version of MaxQuant.

Unfortunately, I could not participate in ASMS. If possible, could you share other topics of the meeting with us?
